Herewith we would like to inform you that all three Seegene COVID-19 kits (Cat. # RP10243X; RV10248X; RV10259X) are capable of detecting the new UK and South Africa variant of SARS-CoV-2.
Seegene will also launch in the near future two detection kits that can identify these two new variants.

The Allplex SARS-CoV-2_Variant UK can be used as an independent test to identify SARS-CoV-2 and the UK variant in one reaction.
The Allplex SARS-CoV-2_Variants UK + SA can be used as an identification test to differentiate between the UK and South Africa variant from a positive SARS-CoV-2 patient.
Another important news is that the Allplex SARS-CoV-2/FluA/FluB/RSV (Cat. # RV10259X) can now also be used with the Extraction-Free method.
This newly validated protocol will save approx. 2 hours of time, cost and about 80% of tips.
Within one tube it can identify seasonal respiratory viruses in addition to SARS-CoV-2 for patients showing the same symptoms.
In addition, Seegene successfully validated the use of saliva samples with the Seegene Allplex SARS-CoV-2 PCR assays (Cat. # RV10248X; RV10259X) in combination with the Extraction-Free method.
The application of saliva samples with Seegene extraction will follow in the near future.
